About
Taking the weight off your shoulders
MUTLA started in 2012 with 25 members. It was majorly started for networking, exposure and bridging the gap between students and practioners. It was officially launched in 2013 by Mr. Katushabe Winstone a commissioner transport regulation and safety at Ministry of Works and Transport and the Late Kassim Omar the then president of UCIFA. Forming MUTLA, a student association amidst challenges was a daunting task. However, adversity often fuels innovation and resilience. In the face of opposition, the student association's journey likely involved overcoming obstacles, fostering unity, and championing a cause. Thats why MUTLA is dedicated to empowering transport and logistics students at Makerere University through networking, academic support, career development, industry engagement, and advocacy, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for academic and professional success.
